Need help finding a great financial advisor?

Learn how to ask the very best questions to any financial advisor.

Here are some of the most common questions people ask us.

THE INTEGRITAS DIFFERENCE

  • Typical clients of IF are at the busiest stage of their lives. They are busy raising their kids, being rising stars at work, planning weddings, buying houses, etc.

Every life event has financial implications that need to be managed. Without proper guidance, you could miss out on opportunities or create future problems. Work with IF to have a clear view of your path without needing to find the time to figure it out yourself.

  • In a word, fiduciary responsibility.

Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firms are required to act in the best interests of the client.

Violation of this standard could lead to the registration of the firm being revoked, which could end the firm’s business. These are very big consequences. It’s scary to know that other types of firms are not required to adhere to this duty of care.

  • CFP® certification is the gold standard for financial planners.

Similar to the requirements of the RIA, a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional must adhere to the fiduciary standard.

If this is violated by the certificate holder, their certificate could be revoked. This can drastically impact the career prospects of the holder.

  • Every investor is different. So why settle for a model portfolio?

We build unique portfolios for our investors so they can reach their goals.

Our strengths are in fundamental research and bottom-up investing (i.e. stock analysis). Therefore, we implement a diverse selection of core holdings and then customize for every investor’s needs.

  • A human advisor can give you transparent and personalized financial guidance.

While robo-advisors are great for beginner investors who value digital convenience over personal service, their benefits grow thin for more seasoned investors.

If you’ve ever invested through a turbulent stock market, you know that the temptation to place trades to time the market are very real. Robo-advisors won’t talk you out of any ill-timed moves, whereas a professional human advisor can.

Moreover, robo-advisors can and do limit your investment options to their own funds or funds from companies that pay to be listed in their service. A human advisor, on the other hand, can invest in nearly any security without conflict of interest.

DISCLOSURE INFORMATION

  • Our pricing is clear and our income is commission-free.

We take our fiduciary duty to you seriously by putting our money where our mouth is. Unlike other RIA’s, we never sell mutual funds or insurance products that generate commissions.

Why not? Because commissions are kickbacks that ultimately come out of your pocket via higher product expenses.

We believe that transparency is crucial to our client relationships. That’s why we make our fee-only pricing clear and easy to understand.

If we refer you to an insurance agent, we won’t receive any perks. This preserves our independence and our dedication to you and your best interests.

  • Just like you, estate plans are unique.

The attorneys we work with don’t use cookie cutter plans or documents. They account for all aspects of your estate planning needs and build a fully-customized estate plan for you.

So, instead of charging a flat rate for a plan, they usually charge by the hour to account for complexities that could be found in your estate plan project.

While we don’t set the hourly rate of our attorney partners, we estimate their rate to be around $300 - $500 per hour, depending on the attorney and the services required.

  • We’re a husband and wife team.

Ryan Kaysen, the founder of Integritas, is a financial planner who handles the investment management, and Katie Clemm is a seasoned attorney who is Ryan’s first choice to handle the estate planning via her separate business.

Ryan and Katie are married, which makes communicating the details of your plan is a cinch. Even though this relationship is a conflict of interest, as described in our Form ADV, we’re sure you’ll love working with us.
